  • QHSA-Quantum Hadamard Matrix Search Algorithm

    date: 2016

    Organization:Institut Teknologi Bandung

    Description:

The Quantum Hadamard Search Algorithm (QHSA) project investigates quantum computational methods for finding Hadamard matrices, a class of combinatorial structures whose discovery remains a long-standing challenge for classical computation. QHSA-1 (2019) introduced the theoretical formulation of the problem as a quantum Hamiltonian and demonstrated its feasibility using symbolic computing and quantum annealing approaches. QHSA-2 (2022) extended the method by integrating classical search heuristics with quantum computation, enabling searches for higher-order matrices and demonstrating a hybrid classical–quantum resource balancing technique. QHSA-3 (2025) further advanced the approach by implementing a qubit-efficient, gate-based version using the Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm (QAOA), reducing resource complexity from 𝑂(𝑀^3) in QHSA-1 and O(M^2) in QHSA-2 to O(M) and validating the algorithm on both simulators and real quantum hardware. The project is now progressing toward QHSA-4 (2026–2028), which will integrate an oracle-based Grover search framework. These installments trace the evolution of QHSA from conceptual design to practical quantum implementation, aiming to demonstrate real quantum advantage in mathematical discovery.
